My Favorite Resources
My own personal journey of healing began in 2009. In the midst of my darkest time, I was able to connect to my light. Now, I had no guide, no mentor, no coach, no therapist. It was just me, a deep belief I had failed my existence, the depression that follows those kind of thoughts, but yet luckily a smidge of hope with “maybe I could make this better if I just did everything differently from this point on”. It was a turning point in my life, I had decided to take fully responsibility for my decisions, to be intentional, and to try something I had never tried before. At that time, the only “positive practice” I had ever heard about was gratitude… so that was my first tool. To say “Thank you”…to Who or what?…I didn’t care if it was the air, I just wanted to try something different and see what could happen. I’ll save the rest of the story and the details of my practice for later, when we personally connect, there’s many layers in this story, but let me just tell you this…. saying “Thank you” changed the entire trajectory of my life. Focusing on gratitude every single day, even in the worst moments, allowed me to connect to my heart, manifest a more positive reality, showed me my own personal abilities to take control of myself, my focus, my feelings, my perceptions of this experience and the meanings I give the happenings of life. I am infinitely grateful to the vibration of appreciation!
From that point on, on this journey of curiosity and “doing the work”, I have picked up many more tools. Since 2009 I have spent my life immersed in the learnings and applications of so many self oriented growth/expansion/healing techniques and practices.
What is to follow on this page are books, videos, resources, tools, things for you to dive into and possibly incorporate into your life. Healing work, is work. It takes application, dedication, choosing to do something differently than you’ve done before. These practices allow you to understand yourself me, your emotions, your needs. They allow you to vent, to realign, to create pause and presence. Sometimes it’s the things we resist the most, that make us feel weird and awkward that are exactly what we need.
I may never meet you, or even talk to you, but if you’re here, right now, looking for suggestions on where to start healing or need some tools to help you grow, I hope something here contributes positively to your journey, Cheers!
